1) The crisis of the last four years has highlighted the fragility of the monetary union and has shown that when we decided to make the single currency, we have in a sense "thrown the heart beyond the obstacle," without creating a ‘political union sufficient to make credible the euro, which is basically the only example in the world of a currency without a state.
TO TEST THE EU HAS GIVEN IF ‘DURING THIS CRISIS THAT YOU BELIEVE IS AN UNFINISHED CONSTRUCTION TO BE COMPLETED OR THAT THE EUROPEAN CONSTRUCTION HAS BEEN REACHED A POINT IN TIME STABLE AND SUSTAINABLE?
2) The path towards an ever closer union among the peoples of Europe (Article 1 of the EU Treatise), up to hypothetically the United States of Europe, can be done in two ways: by traveling to the rhythm of "wagon slower ", ie waiting for the countries and peoples more reluctant to this change, or speeding up to cause a failure of the drive to allow the EU to countries that so wish to share more sovereignty of how other countries are not willing to share.
THERE urgency UNIT ‘FOR THE EUROPEAN UNION THAT WHICH IS NOT’ CAN EXPECT MORE COUNTRIES ‘WARY AND AGREE THEN PROCEED WITH WHOM WE ARE MAINSTREAMING, differentiating MAYBE THE EURO AREA FROM THE REST OF THE EU?
OR YOU SHOULD JUST WAIT AND THAT ALL THE EU COUNTRIES AND PEOPLES feel READY TO MAKE A LEAP FORWARD WITHOUT TEARS or forced?
3) American economist Jeremy Rifkin, in his book "The European Dream", affirmed that voting "NO" the the 2006’s referendum about the European Constitution, European citizens refused the greater system of right even appeared in the whole human history. What do you think about this? Why it is so difficult to generate passion in citizen’s own rights?
In add, we would like to present you our magazine EUR/OPEN, that is conceived as instrument to improve citizenship awareness and spread a shared culture of right and progress. We are very interested in American tradition of music (folk, jazz and blues) and literature (beat and hipster) of awareness and emancipation. We are working on a literary translation project about poetry, also at an European level (see the network European Beat Studies), and maybe we can find a way to cooperate in a common project in this field, translating some of our poets, reciprocally.
